With 2020 in the rearview, the construction industry looks quite different. If COVID-19 taught the industry anything, it’s that even near-total disruption of all projects and processes is a possibility.

As disruptive a force as the pandemic has been on global construction work, it gave construction a much-needed digital facelift. After witnessing new operational efficiencies, the industry’s relationship with technology looks very different going forward. To gauge current workforce sentiments and thoughts on the future, Procore looked to their customers and prospects to shed some light.

Procore asked construction leaders about the most pressing issues they face today—and what they’re watching for on the horizon.

The common theme is more. More volume, more projects, more clients and more activity. But with this optimism comes uncertainty about when the world fully returns to normal.

Some key insights from respondents:

  • Over 50% agreed that the labor shortage will be a top concern through 2025
  • Over 60% said that budget and job costing are top issues they’re hoping construction technology can help solve
  • 60% are optimistic about faster adoption of existing technologies over the next five years

In this webinar, you’ll learn:

  • What construction is learning about culture from technology companies
  • Why industry leaders and experts are optimistic about the future
  • When and where the industry sees future work coming from
